Description
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God did two loads of laundry.
Why rely on a religious book that's 2000-3000 years old when you can write your own updated post-modern passages?

A load of heaven and a load of earth? Interesting concept. l/f/g+/t/p
Myke Ashley Cooper and Jim Williams replied:
I'd say this is a load, but not of laundry. Thank you very much, Alana.

Lol, revisiting, love the humor and needed a cheering up on this subject as I had visit from Jehovah witnesses today, and told them to start doing the right thing instead of talking about bible studies !!! :) tweet
Myke Ashley Cooper and Jim Williams replied:
I'm glad this lightens your mood. Laughter is the best response.

Didn't know about the two loads of..... So he separated the light from the dark. Did he keep them in separate stacks when he folded them? Way to complicated for me! l/f

Lol, great picture !! And if there is a god who is human and creating everything, where did he come from ? Who created him, and why does it all doesn't make sense. People didn't understand storms and volcanos and they needed something to believe in...so they invented nice fairy tale. I believe in spirituality but not in religion !! l/f
Myke Ashley Cooper and Jim Williams replied:
I'll go with empirical science. Glad you enjoy it, Miroslava.

Great work! Although I must say that in today's modern world our lights and darks mingle more and more and life can be confusing. And we no longer have to separate them, one detergent does them both in one wash without dulling the lights and fading the darks! We have come a long way and no, I am not a Tide salesperson! :) LF
Myke Ashley Cooper and Jim Williams replied:
I agree, Pamela. Myke is both artist and cartoonist. He and I worked on some stuff together while he lived in Tallahassee. He was quite a powerful character. If you were his friend he was very generous, but cross him and he'd see you in court. He returned to S. Africa. I think I'll post our collaborative work. Thank you for him.

Wonderful artwork here! Very true, it is important to remember just how long ago this was written and keep that in perspective!..The basic truths are timeless, but details were written by people of that time......fv
Myke Ashley Cooper and Jim Williams replied:
Thanks, Karen. Myke is from S. Africa and allowed me to update the passage using American dialect. Biblical scholars agree that the history of the early old testament was written 1000+ years later. The writers falsely presumed that nothing had changed in 1000 years (or would ever change) and that society and civilization were exactly the same. So much for recording oral history, which constantly changes with every retelling.
